Worried For Painful Heavy Menstrual Periods

Hi, I am worried because I've had 2 heavy menstrual periods in the last 3 weeks. This is unusual for me. This week before I got my period I felt a heavy cramp and a huge white clump came out of my vagina and the next day I started bleeding. Is this normal?
