Would Ambien-CR Help With Insomnia While Treating Relapsing Polychondritis In The Right Ear?

I have difficulty falling asleep and staying asleep I am taking Generic Ambiem, I think 5mg and think that the Ambient CR might be a better solution for me,, I had a Radiofrequency Ablation procedure in January and also have recently had surgery to address a VERY large Hydrocele (tennis ball size), I also have Relapsing Polychondritis in my right ear and it may need to be removed with a prosthetic to replace it, it is limited to my right ear,, falling apart, but for now sleeping and staying asleep is the problem, Would Ambien CR help wi this?
