Would Clomefine Help To Regulate Menstrual Periods?

I have been diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrom and have been given norethisterone to take (one tablet 3 times daily for 10 days) I was lead to believe that these would start my periods (which I only have rarely) and then should take clomefine for days 2 - 6 of my period once they have started. Reading the leaflet it looks like these will reduce periods not start them?
