Would Rigevidon Pill Be Effective While Taken Four Months Postpartum?

Hello, I recently started taking the Rigevidon contraceptive pill, I started on the 1st day of my period, 5 days ago, which I ve been told means i will be safe from pregnancy, however I gave birth 4 and a half months ago, so I was wondering if that would affect it?

Hi,

Rigevidon is a two hormone pill. It would help for contraception but may hamper lactation. I would suggest to start a Progesterone only pill, in case you are lactating for its safe. Please consult your gynecologist to get a prescription, that would suit your health status and also would have no bad effect on lactation.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
