Would A Knee Cyst With Burst Fluid Cause Radiating Pain?

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...My husband had hip surgery a month ago. He is home now and was told he had a cyst behind his knee that had burst. Would this liquid in his leg cause the severe pain he has from the knee to the tip of his toes?
