Would A Week's Time Be Sufficient To Recover Post Tonsillectomy?

Hi i am a 20 year old female and I have a scheduled tonsillectomy on 8\17\12 which is a friday. I am only allowed to miss 5 days of school, being though that i am in college, without being withdrawed. i am wondering if i will have any problems trying to return to school after only a week of recovery?
