Would Epogen Or Transfusion Help My Mother With Haemoglobin Of 4,pacemaker When On Pureed Foods?

My 90 year old mother has a hemoglobin of 4. She is in a VA nursing home in Maine on the dementia unit. She has been there for 8 years. She has a pacemaker and has had one for 8 years. She is on pureed foods. Would Epogen or a transfusion help her at all? She is now non-communicative, but has not known who I am for a few years.

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, vegetative life with having multiple organ failure nothing much can be done, I would advise you to just do nothing, more aggressive treatment will create more problems, looking to age of your mother, we wont get much good response of any drug if ever given, I hope you could understand this, take care of your mother and have good time .
