Would Steroid Intake Cause Any Effect On Baby In Pregnant Woman?

I was diagnosed with a severe gluten allergy and prescribed predcort ds. Before that I was hospitalised and given a steroid injection and placed on a drip which included DPH. I recently discovered that I am pregnant. What effect would the intake of the steroids have on my baby?

Steroids are routinely administered even during pregnancy for various reasons, and I do not think the steroids administered should cause any problems for your pregnancy or baby.

For your satisfaction, request your caring obstetrician to be a little more diligent during the first for milestones of development monitoring. Nothing more than this will be required. I wish you a safe and beautifully memorable pregnancy.
