X Shows Scars Of TB, But No Active Symptoms. Had Pneumonia At 5 Years. Suggestions?

Sir i don't know when i ever had tb but during medical x-ray shows scars but no active symptoms and no increase in esr level doc said u had and it had been healed itself and first sputum testv is negative sir please give some opinion regarding this matter only i have pneumonia at 5 month age my father told and i don't had fever for many years

Dear sir ,

Tuberculosis is a disease which can remain dormant years after one had got first contact with the bacilli . So it is not necessary that you be aware of having TB but on Xray we can see the shadows even years later.. If your ESR is not raised thats a good sign. Your doctor is absolutely right in saying that nothing needs to be done.

You just keep a check if you ever have cough for more than 3 weeks , loss of weight , appetite loss , evening rise of temperature consult a doctor immediately .
