Yellow Saliva With Foul Smell, Discharged While Sleeping, Does Not Occur Otherwise. Causes And Treatment?

hello doctor. My case may be special . for years i have been having sliva wetting my pillow ,yellowish color,very bad to smell, i have to change my pillow case daily; it happens only at night when im sleeping. i always find traces of it on the pillow do i need to worry about or is quite natural.... I feel very embress when wife come closer to me....pls help in this, what to do ?

Hello,

Thanks for writing to us.

Drooling of saliva while sleeping is due to the habit of mouth breathing,Incomplete lip seal while sleeping.

I would advice you to get a thorough evaluation.

Get a thorough scaling done.

Infected carious tooth has to be restored.

Pus has to be drained if any.

Antibiotics-analgesics has to be administered to prevent infection.
