Hello, pavrang,
You tell us that your driver has had yellow discoloration
of the white of the eye for over two years. You also tell
us that all his liver tests came back normal.
Yellow jaundice is mostly associated with various liver
diseases such as hepatitis, cirrhosis, gallstones and other
conditions that damage the liver.
If his urine is not dark orange and the palm of his hands
are not yellow , it is unlikely that he has jaundice.
There is a condition called Carotonemia which is seen
in vegetarians and also who eat more orange colored
vegetables such as carrots. This can cause yellow discoloration
of palms, soles of the feet and other areas including the white of
the eye. In some people a small area of the white contains yellow
spot and this may be from an old infection. Sometimes, this
condition runs in the family. Find out if any of his family members
have the same thing.
So long as all the liver tests are normal, the condition is not life
threatening and tell him not to worry. Make sure he takes a good
multi-vitamin containing Vit-A and Vit-D (Adequate amounts).
I wish him well.

Hi,

Welcome to HCM,

Yellow discoloration of eye the most common cause is Jaundice, but if it is not there as confirmed by liver function test.

Other possibilities are Carotenaemia (xanthaemia)in which yellow pigment is high specially seen in vegetarians.A orange pigment which is harm less condition .

I feel he should be examined by a Physician and appropriate investigation may be done to see any kind of severe Anemia ,particularly Hemolytic anemia.sometimes gives impression of paleness or yellowness.

Some drugs may cause such discoloration, sometimes even Vit A deficiency may give subjective feeling of yellowness.

If it runs in family it may be the cause .

If nothing is there he should not worry and take treatment advised by doctors to keep Hb level normal and multivitamin supplement.

Take care

Good Luck

Hi, welcome to HCM
If liver function tests and eye specialist opinion is normal , then it is not a seroius condition. It looks like a either subjective feeling or congenital variation in color of sclera.
In a safer side , it will helpful to do Hepatitis B test and Ultasonography of abdomen. It will definately rule out any remote possiblity ,if any.
Hope you have got answer.
Regards.
