Yes, I Thought I Had Blood In My Urine For

Yes, I thought I had blood in my urine for a few days on 2 different occasions (about 2 months apart). Now I am reading online that eating beets can cause the appearance of that. I saw my PCP today and there was no more appearance of blood and the UA was negative, and he referred me to a urologist, now I wonder if it was just from eating beets. And if it was, is that something I should check out anyway.
