Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Yes thank you. I'm 43 and need a hyster due to excessive bleeding from multiple fibroids. I am healthy otherwise and have no associated pain. I have had 3 opinions: 2 say remove everything and 1 says keep the ovaries. I am so confused because all that I read about adhesions causing bowel obstruction, painful intercourse, etc. The second choice leaves me with a whole leap of other issues so how does one choose? If I decide on a total hyster and surgically induced menopause begins will this mean I am in menopause longer? Thank you for any guidance. Kind Regards, Lyn
