Im a 29 year old female. My blood pressure is 140/108 and pulserate is 110. It has been like this for 6 months. I had a surgery a year ago where thet took out my bowel and put it back in after discovering a tear in my uterus that took place during a DNC. I have never had high blood pressure before this. Could the surgery have resulted in highbp? Could this be an inication something happened during surgery. Sinve surgery I have put on 60 pounds. Could my weight gain be the soul reason for high blood pressure? I have two children during both pregnancy"s I gained over a 100 pounds and NEVER had high blood pressure. I did loose all the weight after their births. Since DNC surgery and uterus repair surgery where they removed bowel and replaced it I have gained the weight and now have very high bp and Im having a hard time loosing the weight. HELP Please. I feel like Im slowly dying inside!!!!!

thanks for choosing health care magic. For any age blood pressures by 140/90 is normal, above that is high.your`s is definitely high. You need to see your doctor and adjust or increase the dose of drugs .Yes taking amlodipine in this dose is safe.do not worry about the side effects of anti hypertensive drugs.by hook or crook your b.p. must remain normal.Pl.do not count tablets.
