Could Bilateral Macular Amyloidosis On Her Upper Back That's Worsening Over 2 Years Indicate Progression To Systemic Amyloidosis?

I noticed my mother having macular amyloidosis presenting bilaterally on her upper back. She said it initially appeared 2 years ago but is progressively worsening without her aggressively scrubbing or scratching and denies any itching or irritation. Could this be a sign of progression to severe amyloidosis? Also do you know of any natural remedies to help improve the discolouration apart from over the counter peels and skin brightening agents.
