Donate Blood In Poison Ivy

My boyfriend has an outbreak of poison ivy from a recent camping trip and would like to use Fucidin H cream Fusidic acid 2% and Hydrocortisone 1%, but worries about wheather it is safe for him to continue to donate blood. He is O negative and donates regularly every 60 days or so.
