Hearing Loss, Please Tel Me What Should I Do ?
Hello Sir; I am Buddharaj Ambhore, a student of M.Tech [NITK,surathkal,karnataka]. Three months back I had an Viral infection called MUMPS which got cure in a weak but when I had continuous vomitting, from that day I loss my hearing capacity in right ear. I went to different doctors but everyone told me that there is no treatment once the nerve damaged. One continuous beep sound in my right ear irritates me a lot.I am getting pain while studying and talking loudly. All Doctor told me about the hearing machine and nerve implantation but I dont want to do this as i dont think so that this is the right solution. Please tel me what should I do. I am searching for the right doctors for right treatment. Is it possible to get my hearing capacity back????????????? Is this project will going to help me?????? If yes then please tell me how, I will come to visit your nearest health center. Please give me the address in karnataka region. but please dont say NO. Please help me. Waiting for your reply......................

Hi,
In the first instance have you got the hearing tests done to find out the hearing loss? Secondly, do not get apprehensive. You need to get yourself evaluated by an apt ENT specialist (Dr. Dipak Ranjan Nayak, Professor & Head of the Department, Dept of ENT KMC, Manipal). As of now you can take the following medicines T. Vertin 16mg 3times/day for 7 days initially and Cap B-complex once a day for 1 month. Consult at the earliest.

Without seeing the audiometry report it is difficult to comment about whether you will get back your hearing or not. But, continue Vitamin B-complex.

According to audiogram report I have sensari neural hearing loss and hearing threshold level in db ISO is 120 in right ear. IS this information sufficient to tell something about my ear.

According this report your ear shows profound hearing loss in the (R) ear. What about your other ear?
Any how, you meet the doctor as soon as possible. There are few more tests which need to be done. Because, you can not have such a high hearing loss for an attack of Mumps.

I got the same answer from Dr.Dipak Ranjan Nayak like other doctor taht is no improvement. No solution for Nurve damage. then I stoped seaching and visiting the doctors for right treatment. Please tell me shall I accept this truth parmanently or is there any hope for my ear???? reply
