hi, just need medical opinion please. the px is 72, non smoker, diabetic for more than 36yrs. have anemia. had a hx of ptb (fibrohazed infiltrates upper left lobe) last 2007 and completed the tx for more than 6 mos. just last month, she spit blood one evening with chills. she feels weak and tired. have back pain for more than a month up to present. i sent her for cxray, her xray reports reticular densities seen in both upper lung fields. her dr request for (2 days) sputum test and also sensitivity test. her dr also decided to start her with rifampicin/isoniazid even w/o seeing the sputum results first. so she's been taking the meds for a month now, while her back pain continually bothers her. her sputum test (day 1) phlem: negative, (day 2) saliva: negative. it's quite difficult to go dr-hoping to find more competent ones and resume with the course of assessment through other test especially if you have very limited budget. :( please enlighten me.. what could be the possible dx, or ddx if you may. thanks
