How To Confirm New Period Timeline?

I am going to Bali at the end of next month and at that time is when my period starts. I started taking the pill last week so that when it came time to go to bali, I could keep taking the pill and hopefully skip my period. But like always, I forgot to take the pill a couple of days ago and havent taken one since. I woke up this morning and I now have my period. Does this mean my period cycle has shifted?
