1. You should have an ENT examination to rule out causes of nasal obstruction, which may vary according to your age. This may include a CT PNS Scan, Sleep Cine MRI Study and/or endoscopy. You may also require to undergo a Sleep Study or Polysomnogram (PSG) at a Sleep Lab.
2. A DNS (Deviated Nasal Septum) is the commonest cause for this condition. Chronic rhinosinusitis, nasal polyps , allergic fungal rhinosinusitis (AFRS) and turbinate hypertrophy are among other causes that come to mind. Can you elaborate on your age, history, symptoms and any previous investigations, medications. Nasal obstruction can be treated.
3. Is one nostril perpetually blocked or are they alternately blocked?
