i having red rashes ichy and went to dr clinic, we assumed poison ivy, heat sun rashes one day last week i went fishing. the pa gave me steroids injection, cream. it helped one day/night, red rashes cleared up however it starting flared up again all over area that not affected a day before like legs, arms. what going on? i had been using oral steroids before and it always worked immediately a couple hour and the red rashes went away. what your advice
As per your query you have symptoms of red rashes which seems to be due to allergic reaction leading to dermatitis. It could be due to increased skin sensitivity of getting infected.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to start taking anti allergics medications such as Allegra. You should apply a steroid ointment like cortisone over the rash area for relieving inflammation and itching. Application of calamine lotion will be effective to soothe the skin. Apply cold compresses over itchy rashes.
If symptoms still keep on persisting you should visit a dermatologist once and get it examined. You should go for a patch test and blood tests and start treatment after proper prescription. You should maintain proper cleanliness and avoid scratching the bumps to prevent infection.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
