If the injury was not very deep and not involving the muscles, tendons, vessels or the nerves, it will heal soon.. Take care to prevent infection.. If the injury is slightly deep, there are chances of complications such as fascitis or compartmental syndrome developing.. Antibiotics and a tetanus toxoid may be needed..
