Irregular Periods, On Pill, Headache, Nausea, Negative Pregnancy Test. Suggestion?
Hi, I am hoping you can shine some light on my situation, I live with my fiancé and have been on marvellon for nearly 5 years now and periods always very regular if not early , however I took my break from my 21day pills on the 18th of September and should have had my period on the 21/22nd however it never came very very faint blood when I went too the toilet twice that's all (sorry if that's too much info) my period still isn't here and I restarted my packet as usual on the 25th, I had stomach cramps as if they were coming but nothing had severe headaches on the 26thand 27th I also have nausea but that is all two home pregnancy tests and both negative I'm hoping you can give me a step in the right direction??
Hi, In the current scenario, since you never had such symptoms in the past, you should get a blood pregnancy test to confirm/exclude pregnancy as HPT may not be of much use at this stage. In view of the regularity with which you take the pill, chances of failure are very very less, but it is better to exclude. It is more likely that there is some hormonal imbalance that is presenting as the spotting. Hope you find this information helpful. Wish you good health.
