Is It Okay To Move Around Before Getting My Cast On Monday After Tendon Repair And Bone Removal Surgery?

I had tendon repair surgery on my right foot, grafting and bone removal from heel less than a week ago. Is it ok to be up and moving around some throughout the day or should I be sitting with foot elevated the entire day? I do get a cast on Monday, just curious how long the elevation is needed throughout the day?
