Lump On Face Cause By Pimple Or Staff Infection ?
hello... i had what began to look like a under th skin pimple with no head! however, it developed into a big infection that swelled my cheek all around and it was red and hot... after a fue days it came to a head and busted on its own. when that happened i helped it by attempting to push all the pus that was inside out of my face.... the swelling went down and the skin healed however i still have a hard dime size lump where the infection initially started.... what should i do? what could this be?

Same thing happened to me. I was given antibotics to clear up the infection. The dr said it was Staph. She said after it was cleared up, I would have to go to a plastic surgeon to have the lump/knot removed/cut out.
The antibotics made the size of the lump almost un- noticable so I put off further treatment . This occurred around July, now it is Sept 2010 and the knot is getting bigger again and is getting sore. So i made a app with a dermatologist and will prob have to do to a plastic surgeon afterwards. My skin has never been the same since the lump. Alieame1234@yahoo.com

You should be getting these bumps examined. And also get your sugars tested... these kinds of problems are very common for people having issues with sugar control.

I read what someone wrote. Why would they be caused by sugar? I haven't had anything but splenda in yrs. I am sure sugar is in some foods I eat. But I am not a big sweet's fan either.????????
