My Husband; 55 Yrs; Physically Healthy; Medically On Blood Pressure

my husband; 55 yrs; physically healthy; medically on blood pressure and heart meds as well as severe acid reflux meds; rolled his ankle by stepping in a large hole on Saturday, went to ER, no broken bones however possible pulled ligament; last night was having very rapid heart beat, sweating, light headed, stomach ache. This would last maybe 20 mins, then he'd take his heart rate and blood pressure and it would return to normal (for him). This happened several times throughout the night without incident, and he is still feel nautious today. Could his ankle injury have anything to do with this sudden fast rise in heart rate and blood pressure? He goes to see a ortho tomorrow to get MRI on ankle, but should he be seeing someone now for the other issues?
