Is It Normal To Have Waste In Both A Colostomy And An Ileostomy Bag, Or Could There Have Been A Surgical Error?

recently had surgery for diverticulitis had issues had another surgery and now i have a colostomy bag and a ileostomy bag however im producing waste in both bags i was told that the ileostomy would not produce waste think someone may have messed up the surgery
