Should I Give Advil To A Child Having Headache And Nausea After Taking Sulfamethoxazole?
Hi I just gave my child the first dose of sulfamethoxazole and about 2 hours after he got a bad headache and nausea. Should I be concerned? I have him Advil for the headache and now he s sleeping. Now I m reading about this medicine and having a panic attack!

It seems from the history that your child is having headache and nausea probably following infection and he is on antibiotics like sulfamethaoxazole.
Advil is a non steroidal anti-inflammatory drug and it contains Ibuprofen and it can be used for treatment of headache, muscular pains and fever in children.
Hence no need to worry you can continue the drug and you can give it up to 2 times a day.
