Suggest Treatment For Recurrent Ear Discharge

My daughter is only 1yr 2 months. Last December she have a severe cold with very high fever and she started oozing pus from the ears. She developed the same problems ago just a few days ago, though this time, she did nto have high fever. How can the be treated and what cause it? Is there a connection between the pus and the tonsils? Is there a permanent solution to this problem?
