My brother was diagnosed with a collapsed artery, they are doing the procedure where they shoot the die through the groin. What caused this and what will be done to correct it? Is this hereditary? Helen

Hi,
Thanks for query,
collapsed artery mean coronary artery,Right?
They will go for angiography and if they found arteries are collapsed or blocked. Then they may go for engioplasty or stant or balooning as per requirement and position of arteries.
Heart disease has hereditary tendency.
ok and bye.
