What Are The Side Effects Of Mirena Coil?

Hi, I had the mirena coil fitted on 25/04/12 and since then my skin has become increasingly itchy my face in particular.....it's hot tight and I'm constantly scratching! I haven't changed any other product at all since becoming itchy and am concerned at what is causing it!

I've gone through your query. I can understand your anxiety.

Usually Mirena is implanted for a duration of 3-5years. Usual side effects includes,
Bleeding in between periods, Abdominal and back pain, Nausea, vomiting, Bloating, Headache/migraine, Mood changes, Breast tenderness, weight gain, acne& itching or skin rash etc.

Your complaints may be due to the implant. I advice you to consult your gynaecologist, about the expiry of the effective lifespan of the implant.
