Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 55 years of age. I developed a rash on my stomach. legs and shoulders. I was fatigued and run down over the weekend. I have heat waves, they come and go. The rash consists of large red raised spots often painful at the touch . I have terrible constipation though my appetite is good and my diet is good too.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have rashes and constipation. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like food poisoning , food intolerance , allergic reaction or dermatitis . I would suggest you to avoid food like nuts and sea food , try taking a magnesium supplement before bed with a quart of water , take antihistamine like benadryl twice a day , and also take some probiotics food . If condition doesn't get better then consult gastroenterologist for proper examination . Doctor may order ultrasound , stool test along with taking history . Doctor may prescribe laxative . omeprazole , along with gastric lavage in severe case . Doctor may also refer you to dermatologist for rashes .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
