36 Year old male living in Brandon, Mississippi, USA. Two doctors said that it "looks" like I have HPV, then acted like it was nothing, pretty much no information about 'what to do' and said there was no way to test for it. So, here I am stuck wondering if I really have it or if there was a reaction to .... well, Nair for Men that I used in that area shortly before the bumps showed up. They were really tiny, and the Doctors just glanced at them.... so... I'm just unsure.
The bumps you were referring to and the doctors saying it as HPV looks like Genital warts (though the physical examination is the way). Genital warts are diagnosed by visual inspection. Your doctor may apply an acetic acid solution to your genitals to whiten any warts. They may look like small, flesh-colored bumps or have a cauliflower-like appearance. Genital warts may be as small as 1 millimeter in diameter ? smaller than the width of a ballpoint pen refill ? or may multiply into large clusters. Genital warts affect the moist tissues of the genital area. If it is genital warts , they may recur even after their treatment. There are multiple ways to burn the wart and surgery is also helpful.
