Consult an ENT specialist to identify the cause. The dentures should be cleaned daily using a denture cleansing paste before going to bed. Fungal infection could develop if the dentures are not kept clean.

Most sore throats are gram positive bacteria but since you mentioned dentures it will be anaerobes. Infection can be either from upper or lower demture its hard to say

Hi, ill fitting dentures cause pain in the muscles of mouth and throat but if there is an infection in the throat, denture placement may be a coincidence . Please consult a dentist as well as an ENT surgeon for complete examination to know the cause. A course of antibiotics with Betadine gargles may resolve the symptoms. Take care!
