What Is The Cause Of Strong Chills With Cough And Common Cold?

Sir, I have already cough and common cold. But yesterday night I started feeling really strong chills that kept me awake. After 2 hours, I prefer half portion of Paarmol-650. Then the chills go down and I can sleep well. Sir what is actually my problem is ?

Hello dear,

The symptoms as mentioned in your post can be attributed to Lower Respiratory tract infection.

Paarmol-650 (pharmacologically Paracetamol) will help in relieving the fever only.
For symptomatic relief from cold & cough, antihistamine preparation like Allegra can be added along with a course of antibiotics to prevent secondary bacterial infection.
If fever persists for more than 2 days, then it will be advisable to consult your Physician for proper clinical examination.
Investigations like complete blood count, X ray of chest, peripheral smear for malaria, Dengue serology will be helpful.

Meanwhile...keep yourself protected from exposure to cold, maintain adequate hydration & nutrition status.
