Can Renal Failure Be Reversed With Dialysis?

Good evening Doctor, my brother's(aged 50) kidney is completely scarred. Renal failure stage 5 . Has all sorts of complications. Is there any hope. Is dialysis an alternative ? Grateful if you could give me some advice. He has been a diabetic (uncontrolled) for 20 years. Creatinine 5.4. Can his condition be reversed with dialysis. Pl. Advise. Thank you.

Dialysis will help the body rid itself of toxins, but cannot undo the damaging effects of diabetes on his kidneys. The only way to get good kidney function and be off dialysis is to obtain a kidney transplantation.
