Dr Sanyam Chaurasia is an Indian specialist in Orthopaedics, Traumatology and Sports Medicine, with a sound reputation on the field of arthroscopic surgery, cartilage repair and regenerative medicine. He graduated from MGM Medical College, Indore in 2010 and then secured a top rank in pre-postgraduation exam. Then, he cleared his masters of surgery in orthopaedics from NSCB Medical College, Jabalpur in the very first attempt in 2013. He continued his training and did 3 successive fellowships to become a Sports Medicine doctor and an orthopaedic surgeon specialized in arthroscopic procedures. He has been trained in arthroscopy, knee arthroplasty and osteotomy surgeries at SPORTSMED, Mumbai (India), OASI Bioresearch Foundation, Milan(Italy) and Murup Hospital, Changwon(South Korea) in the year 2014. He has a experience of 5 years in field of arthroscopy and cartilage repair surgeries and research with stem cells and its use in Orthopaedics especially, Osteoarthritis. He has performed highly qualified scientific, surgical and educational activities, at a national and international level. He has attended many international confrences related to arthroscopy, stem cells and knee surgery. He is specialized in joint aging and sport-related musculoskeletal injuries ,especially emerging modalities in prolonging the life natural joint. His philosophy is the development of a plan of care for the patient, with the goal to restore functionality and achieve early return to daily activities and pre-injury sporting level in professional athletes. He pioneers the research on the biological approaches for the repair of the injured articular cartilage and the last year, he worked a lot in the use of mesenchymal stem cells and growth factors for the regeneration of articular cartilage. Dr Sanyam is now working as a arthroscopic and cartilage repair surgeon in New Delhi, India. He has worked in Milan, Italy with the Secretary General of the International Cartilage Repair Society (ICRS), Dr Alberto Gobbi. He is a member of the Indian Arthroscopy scociety, Indian Orthopaedic Association, International cartilage repair society and Delhi Orthopaedic Association. His authored publications on arthroscopic procedures and the surgical treatment of cartilage repair have appeared in several international peer-reviewed journals.
