The Dr. gave the textbook advice- the best possible over online forums. However my wife had a case of PPROM within 24 hours of finishing the Dexamethasone injection and delivered a 1.97 kg boy by C Section 4 weeks early. It is hard to tell whether Glucocorticoids caused this ( they are known to induce labour in sheep by ripening the fetus, but no such evidence for humans exist) In hindsight I was left wondering whether this was a case of a Small for Gestation baby ( since the doppler was ok, anmiotic fluid volume was 11 which is ok I think). I don't think someone could have predicted this online without seeing the patient.
