Took your advice and went to Emergency where They sent me for an Ultra Sound the results of which I get on Monday.I am quite confident that there is nothing more serious going on but want to clear my mind. I intend to opt for the surgery as it seems so much less intrusive than the procedure I went through 50 years ago. Your answer really couldn't solve my problem but has certainly put me on what I think is the right track.It is always amazing to me how clear things become after one takes the time to phrase the question

Dr. Patil's answer is clear and understandable. I greatly appreciate his help. He elaborated so as to adequately explain those aspects requiring additional explanation. He has truly helped me to understand much better than I did and I feel well equipped to proceed with my local urologist. Generous reassurance. I send to him my sincere thank you.
