Thank you for your reply. I have had additional blood work done and the gastroenterologist called me this morning and said that all the tests are negative. I have a follow-up appointment with him and at that time I am sure he is going to address my cholesterol levels. I am thankful that everything is okay and am working towards loosing weight and exercising more as you had suggested. After reading your reply I felt less anxious. I thank you for your assistance and your advice.

Dr. Brenes-Salazar: Thank you so much for a very thorough and thoughtful reply to my question from 12/26. It's always lovely to know when one has made a good choice when caring for someone as wonderful as my dad. I appreciate all your words about him in your first paragraph. I'm so glad to have the help of hospice services!

Thank you Dr. Jorge - you were able to reassure me and I was very grateful for your answers to my medical problems, which at the time were starting to leave me concerned. I will probably carry on using this service only when needed, but we have a great medical service here in Ontario and it was just very unfortunate that I felt so ill in the middle of a serious weather event here!
