Dr. Robinson-- Thank you so much for your very prompt and accurate response to my concern. I immediately went to the emergency room and after a CT scan (and other tests) the diagnosis was diverticulitis. It was a bad infection and I am still recovering with antibiotics and a liquid/soft diet. Thank you for your help!
