I appreciate Dr. Seikhoo's review and will attempt to proceed based upon his comments. My one concern remains to be that there are numerous articles in the literature related to salicylate allergies or intolerance, the symptoms of which are similar to those that I have experienced.

Your answer was awesome and you were confident about it. I thought using common sense but you confirmed it. I appreciate your help. I gave him 2 pills last night and he was able to sleep. I might have been off on the total mg but you were right!! I can't imagine going through what he is. He doesn't really have dementia and most days he can converse well. I've had to use a dictionary at times. He gets confused when he gets a bladder / urinary trac infection. Anyway I am sure that he is depressed also. Wouldn't you be? Thank you so very much.
