Good, complete explanation. Actually the disease affected a friend and not me. Since she is not my patient, I do not have available to me the colonoscopy report. Actually, the patient may have misinterpreted what she was told; the diagnosis may have been ischemic colitis thought to be due to the recent institution of anti-hypertensive drugs for a minimally elevated blood pressure. She is improving and a lung scan was negative. A diet has been restated. She did receive a course of iv antibiotics; I do not know which drug. Thanks, Hugh S. Levin, M.D., retired Cardiologist

I had already called a conference with all concerned and demanded that he come off all opiates. Remarkable he is back to normal about 24 hrs. after. Thank you.
