Your advice was wonderful. Since I heard from you I have met with a Pulmonary doctor here in Birmingham, Alabama and have had chest x-rays, breathing tests, lung capacity tests (3), blood tests, lung scans and will have a CAT scan next Tuesday. This doctor confirmed what you said that it was indeed caused by the phrenic nerve and the CAT scan is to see if there is a pinched nerve or something else that caused this to happen. Thank you again for your help.

I have the doctor's answer. I have in fact had the tests she suggested and am awaiting the results. I considered her answer as a second opinion. She was the first to mention the phrenic nerve.
