Thank you for your response, it was helpful. I did as u suggested give him antacids (OTC, did not have any prescription antacids), and this helped. He refused to go to the ER and indeed has been feeling ok since stopping the fluoxetine and has not taken any more ibuprofen, although in the past he has taken ibuprofen with no side effects. He has however since then taken Advil for migraines and has been fine on that occasion, so no internal bleeding - fortunately. Dealing with stubborn husbands can be challenging and it was rather reassuring to hear your opinion.

Great advice. I saw a surgeon on fri and decided on a ultrasound and radiology will do a drain and plug. I'm worried that's going to hurt and don't know what it's going to drain into..I quess they can't do compression with something on my back. I'm hoping they aspirarate it first . You were thinking to aspirate it and then wrap it up to ous out and change bandages. The dr. Said the plug and drain is closed off from infection.? Still deciding my appt with kaiser is wed afternoon..what do you think?
