Your response was exactly what I was looking for Dr. Chail; you have no idea how grateful I am to the detailed response to my overall intent in dealing with a potentially uncomfortable discussion with my primary physician! I have seen a local therapist that is a published transgender medical expert that is known and respected in her field, but unfortunately her work load is so high that she cannot take on an additional regular patient in her private practice here in Miami. I wrote her back last night and requested a referral for a sex and gender therapist that can take on new patients, which she had previously offered while I waited for the test results I cited to you, but thanks to your excellent response I now armed with much more tangible routes to assist with diagnosis by my doctor and the therapist who will eventually takes me on as a patient. I won't have a problem talking to my primary physician about all of this when I have a specialist that has diagnosed my condition and can communicate the rationale for it with solid science and test results. It changes the discussion from him talking with someone who self-diagnosed what is a statistically unlikely condition or conditions based upon what was read on the internet. Most people do not listen and respond as accurately as you did, so I gave you 5 stars and my personal thanks and gratitude.
