Are There Chances Of Multiple Pregnancy While On Infertility Treatment?
Question: Hi doctor,
I am 31, married for 7 years now. And I had experienced missed abortion in 2013. My height is 5.4". And I am 69 kgs (after reducing 6kgs). My periods come in 28-30 days everytime. My LMP 2 Aug, 2016.

After a year's treatment with Dr. xxx without any results, we went to another Doctor in July. She suggested a few tests. And the results are as below:
FSH- 8.20 mIU/mL
LH - 6.81 mIU/mL
AMH - 6.07 ng/mL
TSH - 4.9 uIU/mL
Testosterone - 36.52 ng/dL
After which , I was prescribed
1st course
*thyronorm 12.5mg
*Caberlin 0.5 mg once a week for 4 wks.
*Diane35 - for 21 days
This month was considered as corrective one to get my weight reduced and stopping of nipple leakage.
Again on 4th Aug, I was asked to take
*thyronorm 12.5mg
*Caberlin 0.5 mg once a week for 4 wks.
*Enrifol 2mg twice a day for 5days (7th Aug onwards)
*m---nora (not sure about the name) twice a day for 5 days
*injection. Gonarec 70 on 9th Aug and 11th Aug
Met Doc on 13th Aug (12th day of cycle) for follicular scan. Results were:
Endomet. Thickness - 8.2 mm
Right Ov. Follicle - 15X14mm, 14X12mm
Left Of. Follicle - 14X14mm, 14X13mm
Doc was very happy with the response and asked to meet her again on 15th Aug.
And prescribed:
*Tab Caverta 50mg at night for 4 days
On 15th Aug (14th day of cycle) scan results were:
Endomet. Thickness - 11.7 mm
Right Ov. Follicle - 21X19mm, 19X16mm
Left Of. Follicle - 22X17mm, 17X17mm
Doc was very happy with the response and said chances for multiple pregnancy. She asked to have contact with partner and meet her again on 18th Aug.
She prescribed
*HCG injection 10,000 units (same day)
*Tab Susten 800 mg at night for 20 days
On 18th Aug (17th day of cycle) scan results were:
Right Ov. Follicle -irregular follicles
Left Of. Follicle - irregular follicles, free liquid in pond
Doc said ovulation has happened. She asked to meet her again next month.. And gave prescription of:
*progynova 2mg at night for 15 days
*Tab Caverta 50mg twice a day for 5 days

Now, I have queries about
1. Will I be conceiving this cycle?
2. Can there be multiple pregnancy?
3. Are these medications harmful?
4. Inspite of regular cycles why do I get prescriptions for regularising cycles?

1. husband's semen analysis has come normal. tubes testing was not done.
4. First pregnancy was natural and I WAS diagnosed in my 13th week with miscarriage, and told the fetus was 8wks when it stopped growing. Surgical abortion was done.

this time it was monitored only for one cycle. But with the previous doctor, the ovulation was monitored once.
