Question : Gonig on a five day trip to XXXX (XXXX) with my son and granddaughter and ask my doctor to give me a sleeping pill for five days because of the time change and my late sleeping hours. So he prescribed AMITRIPTYLIN - I also am on Ativan for panic attacks and have been for years. Brief Answer:
Amitriptyline safe with ativan.
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to HCM.
I can understand your concerns.
It is safe to take amitriptyline with ativan.
This drug is basically an antidepressant with sedative properties.
So, it will help you to sleep.
I usually prescribe amitriptyline in the doses of 25mg to my patients for sleep.
Kindly confirm your dose with your doctor.
Wish you a wonderful trip.
Take care.
Thanks.
