Brief Answer:
Androanagen tab (saw palmetto) is safe &effective for androgenetic alopecia

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us

I am Dr. Kakkar(Dermatologist). I have gone through your query and i have noted your concern.

Androanagen tablet contains 100mg of Saw Palmetto Extract as the main active ingredient. It is commonly prescribed drug for Androgenetic Alopecia in males. There are no side effects with it. However, saw palmetto being an antiandrogen, it may reduce libido i.e sexual drive in some males. Though this side effect is more common at higher doses (300mg) commonly used for benign prostatic hyperplasia and is not seen at the lower dose (100mg) commonly used for the treatment of androgenetic alopecia in males.
