Can Augmentin Cause Tinnitus?
Question: Does augmentin cause or increase tinnitus? I am taking tablet form in 500 amoxicillin -potassium 125 clavul for stubborn sinus infection

Augumentin ( amoxicillin /a.c. clavulinic acid) is an antibiotic that is safe compared to other kind of antibiotics regarding to ototoxicity .
Usually this drug does not cause tinnitus or increase tinnitus but depends on the person, some people have reported that after using Augumentin they had tinnitus (this does not mean that the drug will have the same effect on you )
I suggest to take the antibiotic even if you have tinnitus, if tinnitus increases you can stop it .
